Professional: Dr. Steven Mickelson has three degrees from Iowa State University in Agricultural Engineering. He was a professor at Iowa State University for 44 years. His teaching focus was on engineering design and problem solving, computer-aid-graphics, and soil and water conservation engineering. His disciplinary research centered on design and assessment of agricultural best management practices for improving water quality. Leadership development through coaching and mentoring was a cornerstone of his academic career.. Since retiring from Iowa State University, Dr. Mickelson has continued his passion of coaching and mentoring with a focus on "Empowering Excellence".
